Backed by a.o. bassist Cecil McBee, flutist James Spaulding, Roy Haynes, Lonnie Liston Smith, Richard Davis and Pharoah Sanders (listed here as "Little Rock"), Thomas' patented yodel is in fine shape here, displayed alongside his singular lyric style and scat singing trademark.
