Popis - MOPE:
MOPE is an instrumental doom metal band formed in Genova (Italy) in 2011 and featuring drummer Fabio Cuomo (also Eremite), bass player Stefano Parodi (also Vanessa Van Basten), Jessica Rassi (guitar) and Sara Twinn on Saxophone (also Folagra). They love minimalist and repetitive -yet heavy and distorted- drones and stoner doom metal riffs, as well as slow ambient/jazz environments. Each member comes from a different musical background but they all listen to f.i. Earth, Om and Sleep. What comes out is a mix of heavy sonorities and elements of avant-garde metal, with the saxophone dictating the melodies. For fans of Yakuza, Minsk, Callisto but also anyone into doom metal, post metal, stoner and psychedelia. You get three extended tracks, making for an exciting c.a. 30-minute listen.
