Trentemoller returns with his fifth studio album 'Obverse'. The album often feels like an instrumental album because it started as a project inspired by German krautrock and experimental music from the 1970s. Intentional or not, 'Obverse' embodies more that spirit without even a hint of pastiche. A number of guests make their appearance, including Rachel Goswell (Slowdive), Lina Tullgren, Lisbet Fritze, and Jenny Lee of Warpaint. By fusing together a love of dream pop, dark synth-based music, film scores, and a deep connection with the stark Nordic panoramas, Anders Trentemoller has created an inimitable language.
