Popis - PEACE AND LOVE:
“Celebratin’ Good Dayze” is a collection of my musical ideas and a reflection of my eclectic identity. The variety of influences reflected in the genres are the result of my love for the infinite ways in which we as humans can give expression to our deepest reflections through the vehicle of music. More importantly, the album is dedicated to the memory of my mother who died in 2010. Her voice can be heard at the end of the title track, 'Celebratin' Good Dayze,' a beautiful reminder of the melody to which my ears became attuned from the womb. Her gentle spirit is captured in the 6th track, 'Look To The Heavens.' Conceptually, “Celebratin' Good Dayze” is an album of songs that remind us of the need to celebrate good days. Some of life's challenges are simply the result of the nature of life, and others are manufactured. Some are the result of our decisions and others the result of our indecisions. In whatever way and for whatever reason our challenges come, unless we intentionally make the effort to enjoy life, most especially our relationships, we will eventually find ourselves frustrated, stressed, angry, and eventually bitter. Life will become something to be feared, tolerated, or even endured. I have drawn from significant aspects of my life to share my musical ideas and lyrical expressions in the hope that through a clean, conscious, and compelling medium, I can encourage or inspire someone to interpret or reinterpret their challenges in a way that will be positive. Tracks: 1. “Celebratin' Good Dayze” is a reminder of the value, in the face of our daily struggles, to take the time to celebrate good days. 2. “Life is Sometimes What it Seems” was composed after several months of intensive study of the book of Ecclesiastes. 3. “Greed Rules the Day” is a commentary on the injustices represented in the exploitations of those who profit at the expense of 'ordinary' people. 4. “Failure: Friend or Foe?” raises the question of the value of our failures and asserts that great good often comes from them. 5. “I'm Thinkin'” is a window into the challenges that come in life when you struggle to hold on to your dreams. It is a 1980s retro tune with a twist. 6. “Look to the Heavens” celebrates the believer's hope of a glorious resurrection when we will be reunited with our loved ones who await the call of the Life-giver. This Reggae track features a beat for the ages and the smooth background vocals of Shequilla Hudson. 7. “Dirty Hands and Plastic Faces” is a deeply personal commentary on my experiences and challenges in denominational ministry, and the grace that unfolded thereafter. All of the compositions are original and were composed, performed, recorded, arranged, and produced by Jerome C. Crichton for Q Solutions, LLC - The Town By the Creek Productions. Track 6 features the alluring background vocals of Shequila Hudson.
