Mahavishnu Orchestra was one of the keystone bands of the jazz-rock fusion movement. Their 1975 album "Visions of the Emerald Beyond" is a more accessible album, consisting of shorter jazz-rock tracks. The songs are connected with each other and even got some influences from the funk music of that time. Fast-paces fusion tracks are alternated with some shorter arranged pieces. "Lila's Dance" is an outstanding track, consisting of guitar riffs and beautiful piano and violin melodies. This album is a magnificent musical work of virtuosity at its highest level and proves that the 2nd Mahavishnu Orchestra line-up is as good as the original one. Comes on 180 gram vinyl and in a gatefold sleeve.
