In 2001, American singer-songwriter Margo Guryan released '25 Demos', a collection of fully-fleshed out demos from her personal collection, dating back to the '60s. Whereas most people's demos are mere sketches, Margo's are little baroque masterpieces, featuring string arrangements, circus organ, chamber-pop rhythm sections and lots of glorious echo.
Presented here on DOUBLE-VINYL, '29 Demos' is the biggest collection of Margo's recordings yet. Pressed on red and blue vinyl, the two platters are packaged in a gorgeous gatefold jacket, loaded with liner notes. This release is highly recommended to fans of magnificent soft-pop.
