One of the absolute legends of calypso and mento music, Lord Flea, only released this lone LP before succumbing to Hodgkin's Disease in 1959. Though he didn't make it to the age of 30, the Jamaican native was an international superstar during the late '50s Calypso craze, with residencies at nightclubs from Las Vegas to Manhattan to Miami. His image graced the pages of Life Magazine, he appeared at the Perry Como Show and could be seen in several feature films. Harry Belafonte even had a major hit with his interpretation of Lord Flea's 'Shake Shake Senora'. His all-time Caribbean classic LP is now reissued on 140-gram vinyl with a free bonus CD of the album.
