Popis - SACRED TRIANGLE 1971 -..:
...1971-1973'. A spellbinding documentary produced, directed and edited by Alec Lindsell about the early '70s partnership between David Bowie, Lou Reed and Iggy Pop. Bowie's meeting with Reed and Pop at Max's Kansas City resulted in him producing an album with each. Reed had left The Velvet Underground and was floundering as a solo star, and Iggy Pop and the Stooges had been let got from Elektra records. But Bowie recognized their genius and helped Reed create Transformers, the album that reinvented him. It was also at this time that Bowie was finessing his rebirth as "Ziggy Stardust." Pop had a more rocky time of it, but his collaboration with Bowie resulted in Raw Power -- the prototype punk album. This fascinating collision, a mix of exploitation and inspiration on all their parts, makes for a remarkable documentary and clips and interviews with Angie Bowie, Andy Warhol Factory man Billy Name, Jayne County and others are funny, illuminating and mesmerizing. This is the real Velvet Goldmine.
