Popis - A DOSE OF SOUL:
Between the late 1950s and the mid-'80s, Chet Ivey released nearly 30 singles, covering styles from R&B to early electro soul. This CD covers his funk recordings from 1971 through to the mid-'70s, taped for labels associated with Al Sears. Despite his prolific recording career, he is very much a mystery, with virtually no biographical details known, and hardly a mention in the trade publications of the day. This CD is the first compilation of Chet Ivey's work.
