Ex-Fugazi members Brendan Canty and Joe Lally team up with
experimental jazz guitarist Anthony Pirog for an interesting
debut-album released under the Messthetics moniker. These nine
songs, recorded live at Canty's practice space throughout 2017,
mostly without overdubs, offer a snapshot of a band dedicated
to the live ideal, where structure begets improvisation.
