This CD contains the complete SAR recordings of L.C. Cooke, Sam Cooke's younger brother. The first 10 tracks were planned as an album release back in the day, but after Sam's death and the closure of SAR Records, it never happened. There are seven extra tracks, of which three are previously unreleased, plus some studio chatter. Sam Cooke's presence looms over the music since he wrote 12 of the tracks and produced 15 of them. Backing is from the cream of Hollywood session musicians, including Rene Hall, Earl Palmer, Plas Johnson and Bobby Womack. Includes sleeve notes by Peter Guralnick.
