Popis - MY TESTIMONY:
Tamiko Sample - Bio Make way for Tamiko Sample, one of gospel music's newest artists. As a licensed minister of the gospel, this singer-songwriter is very clear about her direction and God's call for her. With Tamiko's debut release 'My Testimony', produced by Dove nominated producer Michael Houston, and her upcoming CD entitled 'Morning Joy', she is geared to take her ministry and artistry to new levels. As far back as she can remember, Tamiko Sample has always loved to sing. After graduating from high school, Tamiko Sample joined the United States Army. While in basic training, she immediately became a favorite for singing her fellow soldiers to sleep each night, and during times of despair. Throughout her military career, she was a popular choice for singing for special military programs. As a psalmist, the anointing of God upon her and her gift of music leaves her audiences encouraged, uplifted and richly inspired. She has rendered musical presentations at activities sponsored by corporations, The United States Army and community based programs, in addition to schools, festivals, retreats and churches. Moreover, although she has not shared the same stage with any notable singers, or has ever has the opportunity to tour with any great names in gospel music, she has had the priviledge of singing to the homeless, those in prisons and those in nursing homes. She received Christ at an early age and has continued to faithfully serve Him as her Lord and Savior. After four years of military service, she attended the University of Texas and received a bachelor's degree. She received her certificate of Chaplaincy from the Texas Baptist Association, and she received her Masters degree from Tarleton State University. Currently, she is attending Sonship School of the Firstborn, a school of the Christian House of Prayer. In conjunction with being a member in the Rhema choir, she has served in prison and jail ministry for the past nine years in the capacity of Director of music, Psalmist and Bible study teacher. Moreover, for two years, she conducted praise services at the Hill Country Nursing Home and helps to feed more than 200 homeless persons per month. As a nineteen-year member of the Christian House of Prayer, her pastors consider her a valuable asset to the ministry. Tamiko Sample is the mother of two children, Rhesia and Michael Christopher, and she is the wife of Michael Sample.
