Representing a compendium of genres, Paul's individual style is part of an evolution of solo improvisational piano that has originated on the West Coast and has become popularized by artists such as George Winston, Liz Story and Peter Kater. His influences are diverse. Following studies in classical music and jazz, he began performing at venues in his native Seattle that featured singer songwriters. As a solo artist, he has strived to incorporate song in his music as exemplified by his most recent release 'Beyond My Words.' Inherent in each piece is a deive melody calling the listener to imagine their own lyrics, or to experience a pleasant poetic escape from the demands of everyday life. Paul presently lives with his family in Littleton, CO and is a member of '3 in 1' a Christian worship band.
