Korine is a Philadelphia-based duo consisting of members Morgy Ramone and Trey Frye. The pair blends new wave nostalgia, early emo and punk with a modern pop sensibility, contrasting upbeat rhythms against sullen, emotionally evocative lyrics. Forming in late 2017, the duo's first EP 'Corsage' gained the band quick traction and soon after they released their debut album 'New Arrangements'. Their sophomore album 'The Night We Raise' from 2020 was met critical acclaim. 'Tear' is the band's third full-length album, where deep bass lines resounding under throbbing synth riffs, completed by dancefloor filling mechanical beats.
