One of the rarest King albums of the late 60s from the organ-playing Honky Tonk hit-maker now released on CD for the first time. It features both sides of Doggetts in-demand James Brown-produced single, Honky Tonk Popcorn and a re-recording of Honky Tonk featuring backing by the JBs. The rest of the album sees Doggetts touring band playing a cross between smoky late-night grooves and lowdown dirty funk. It also features his frenetic cover of 25 Miles. We have enhanced the album by adding six bonus tracks, five of which are previously unreleased, and one a single-only cover version of For Once In My Life. The unreleased cuts include some fantastic funk instrumentals that could be future classics.
