The third all-solo outing from Nat Birchall, following 'Ancient Africa'. Once again Nat plays all the instruments in this homage to the patron saint of the tenor saxophone, John Coltrane. 'Afro Trane' presents a balanced programme of Coltrane songs and original compositions which focus on the more Afro-centric aspects of the music, included are the classic Coltrane compositions 'Acknowledgement' from 'A Love Supreme', 'India' from the 'Impressions' album and 'Dahomey Dance' from 'Ole'.
