From the late 1950's onwards a music scene developed around Cambodia's capital Phnom Penh, inspired by the prevalence of imported early rock and pop from the U.S. and U.K., and also chanson from France and latin influences. This collection documents some of these early home-grown slow rock, pop and R&B 7" recordings from the early 60's, prior to the further embrace of U.S. psych and garage rock-orientated sounds in the mid 60's and into the Vietnam war era.
