Popis - I'M FUNKY NOW [VINYL]:
Melvin Sparks was a talented American soul jazz, hard bop, blues and funk guitarist. As a high school student he first joined Hank Ballard and the Midnighters, and then the Upsetters (a touring band formed by Little Richard, which also backed Curtis Mayfield, Sam Cooke and Marvin Gaye). During the '60s and '70s he was featured on sessions by Idris Muhammad, Lonnie Smith, Charles Earland, Ceasar Frazier and Bernard Purdie.
For the album 'I'm Funky Now', Melvin Sparks recorded seven tracks, which were produced by Westbound/Eastbound veteran Bernie Mendelson. Comes on 180 gram vinyl.
