The four previously unpublished studio recordings on this CD (released in a digisleeve) date back to January 1976, when the Pan Afrikan Peoples Arkestra recorded at Audiotronics Recording Studio in Covina, east of Los Angeles. The musicians assumed these tapes were lost, but recently it became clear that they have survived in Horace Tapscott's archive.
