The driving percussion, reminiscent of kindred spirit The Soft Moon, pushes these songs on top spidery guitar lines and heavy bass. The album is dark and laborious, yet refreshingly so; there are no glossy fairy tales here, instead the listeners are left to consider the painfully cumbersome reality of the human existence. The 7 tracks are a collection of propulsive, goth-influenced post-punk that immediately recalls acts like Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus and 'Pornography'-era The Cure.
