Popis - WORLD OF NO BEAUTY:
"A World Of No Beauty", Disgust's second full-length offering, showcases pure aggression in a truly violent and relentless form. Disgust was originally formed in 1994 by Dean Jones (vocals), Lee Barrett (bass), Dave Ellesmere (guitar), Steve Beatty (drums) and Gary Sumner (guitar). None of the musicians were amateur?s − Barrett played his share of gigs with none other than Extreme Noise Terror, while Beatty was known from his work with Mass and Stone The Crows. The group debuted in Earache Records with an LP entitled "Brutality Of War". The debut album was a solid offering, but it still didn't reveal Disgust's full potential. The band changed their label to Nuclear Blast and started working on their next LP, finally to release it in 1997. "A World Of No Beauty" featured two new guitarists, who replaced Ellesmere and Sumner. The new members were Kneil and W?rzel, the latter known from the almighty Mot?rhead. With this impressive lineup Disgust recorded their finest release − the follow-up to "Brutality Of War" offered twelve brutal tracks, all delivering a prime slab of crustcore meat. The album's content was easily comparable to the best albums by Napalm Death, Extreme Noise Terror and Nailbomb. The production brilliantly captured the group's extreme aggression − this was acquired mainly by the fact that all the engineering was done by Andy Sneap (Megadeth, Kreator, Nevermore and Arch Enemy, and mixing records for Napalm Death, Entombed, Killswitch Engage and Cradle of Filth). Unfortunately, the album did not become as popular as expected; hence the band was dropped by Nuclear Blast and went their own way. Disgust resurfaced in 2002, presenting a completely changed lineup (with bassist Lee Barrett as the only original member remaining in the band), and released an album entitled "The Horror Of It All". Disgust remains an underdog of the extreme metal scene, but the LP "A World Of No Beauty" speaks for itself!
