On vinyl, this 2015 release is a result of the collaboration between FM Einheit (Einstürzende Neubauten) and Hans-Joachim Irmler (Faust). 'Bestandteil' (or 'Component' in English) is a deep, dark and frequently impenetrable meditation on the relationship between light and dark, constructive and destructive. The ten tracks include organ and percussion, snatches of sound, elements of musique concrete, jazz patterns and much more. The sheer density of this collage represents the risk of alienation for any audience that's misplaced their avantgarde chops.
