Popis - ROCK 'N ROLL TIME CAPSULE:
I started this project in 1990 with guitarist Danny Gatton, drummer Shannon Ford, bassist John Previti, and piano and sax man Bill Holloman. We gathered at Big Mo Studios with Ed Eastridge at the controls. We cut five oldies in one day and vowed to come back and do it again. The next year we did it again, this time cutting six original songs I had written with various writers in Nashville. In November of '94 we were all going back to Big Mo to cut 15 more tunes, some oldies, some originals. Danny died in October. I put the project on the shelf for a number of years, but then decided to finish what we had begun. This time, Shannon, John, Bill and I met at Seventeen Grand Studios in Nashville to cut the 15 sides we were going to record with Danny. We got Johnny Hiland and Arlen Roth to play guitars, and Vicki Hampton to sing background vocals. Dave Cline engineered with Michael Teaney as his assistant. Scotty Moore played guitar on ' That's All Right ', along with Bob Moore on bass and Bucky Barrett on rhythym guitar. The Jordanaires then came in and sang on ' Got A Lot of Livin' To Do ' and ' When My Blue Moon Turns To Gold Again '. ' Rock 'n Roll Time Capsule ' has been a dream of mine for a long time, and now it's ready for you. You better tighten your skates, ' cause this baby moves right along. Best Wishes, and Rock On!!! Sweet Mikey C
