The lead melodies are dynamic and often unpredictable, while remaining amazingly listener friendly. There is also a great emphasis placed on vocals, in the tradition of Smile-era Beach Boys to provide colouration and depth. Lyrically the Blood Rush Hour concern themselves with the experiences of being alive, from our inner conflicts to external observations. They believe that song lyrics should be able to stand on their own as poetry, so great care is given to crafting each song lyrically.
