Spotted by EMI Nigeria's legendary producer Odion Iruoje, and nurtured by his protege Alex Tony Okoroji, Joe Moks (a.k.a. Josephine Mokwunyei) pioneered a wonky, hi-tech style of funk that would become the sound of '80s Nigeria.
