Popis - ENGLAND'S SKINT:
Hailing from Manchester and originally called THE STANCE (way back in 1977), they played constantly around the Manchester gig circuit and even ventured down to London to do a few gigs. Demo tapes were sent out to all the press and record labels. Sadly nothing came of their efforts apart from Garry Bushell giving one of their tracks a thumbs Up in Sounds in September 78. After playing along side all their counterparts The Buzzcocks, Warsaw (aka Joy Division), Slaughter & The Dogs e.t.c. they were left on the shelf. Not to be put off, they decided to change their name after Mike the singer became ill and needed Steroids!
