Group from Cardiff, including musicians from Brest in France and managed by Molly Edmunds, mother of Dave Edmunds. Four tracks recorded live on Akai stereo in the living room in 1981. as "sound on sound" with rough mixing, low forward fuzz on all tracks, references to punk emergency, Velvet Underground, Modern lovers & Garage Psychedelic U.S. sixties guitars, a real curiosity. Group members are Alana Holland Camus, Jean-Pierre Jzquel, Alec Ansons & Thierry Lefevre. REPULSE name is one of many names of English ships, that the EP comes from the street located in Cardiff where musicians Habershon Street. Front cover is a drawing by Thomas Maybank from a directory of 1920 - 1930 Royal Navy (The wonder book of the navy), the back is a picture from a 1979 film with Christopher Plummer "Murder By Decree". Originally 500 EPs were pressed by Kiosque d'Orphe in 1982 ; The sleeves are handmade. Amazing and recommanded are two words we'd use to describe this one.
