Popis - SPETTRI:
The group was founded in Florence 1964, in full swing beat, and includes: the brothers Ugo and Raffaele Ponticello (guitar and vocals), Giuliano Giunti (bass) and Ubaldo Paolanti (drums), soon to be replaced by Mauro Sarti. The early beat see Wraiths affect some 45 laps, with a style that had a live disruptive impact on the audience also saw that the group was the first in Florence to use amplifiers chitatta GRS 100-watt power unheard the time. These were years marked by some significant lineup changes, in 1968 Sarti is already being replaced by Giorgio Di Ruvo, coming from the Players, rhythm and blues group, and joins the band Alessio Rogai the organist, who will leave in 1970 in favor of Stefano Melani. Another bassist, Giuseppe Nenci, short passes in the band in '70, (but in its place will come the following year the youngest of the brothers Ponticello, Vincenzo). The turn toward other musical atmosphere comes just since 1970, the beat is a genre exhausted by now and in the repertoire of the group appear live cover of rock pieces scope, ranging from the spirit to Deep Purple, Black Sabbath through. In rehearsals the band began to create sessions with original compositions on the basis of a new sensibility developed by listening to records and groups that influenced the individual musicians, besides the already mentioned there were also Colosseum, King Crimson, all that imagery that Only later was classified as "prog", but that time was identified as a "vanguard". The concept that the group makes it really special, is on texts written by singer Ugo Ponticello, and tells of a man looking through a seance itself, abandoning metaphysics and the afterlife to find a reason to live, but finding only to experience a real and terrible nightmare, where he finds himself, but brutalized by all the ills of modern society. The music develops a suite with a system based rock, with electric guitar, bass, drums and Hammond organ, which coexist in a sound that also knows how to experiment.
The composition becomes unique repertoire in many live concerts from the band, the major pop festival, especially between Tuscany and Lazio, alongside representatives of the largest groups of its kind. This suite was composed in 1970/71, but only registered in 1972 in a single session, and remained unpublished until now, for a record that actually had to go out but never saw the light. With the second half of the '70s, the new musical trends, and a growing disinterest of the public with respect to a classical music and listening, will lead the group to make their own choices and the project will remain pending Ghosts ... until 2011.
