Die Dolen (Europe/Austria) Alpine- Jazz/Pop The Austrian Jazz/Pop- Quintett 'Die Dolen' proudly present their brandnew cd 'Schneefleckn'. Originated from Austria they connect dialectal singing with Jazz and Pop elements. In 2001 the Quintett was founded by the Austrian Jazzsinger Ingrid Moser and the Austrian Jazzguitarist Achim Kirchmair.With their previous cd 'Ungschorn' (released 2004; Extraplatte) they made a stir. Rarely has the mixture of Jazz/Pop elements with home sounds turned out so well. The new production entitled 'Schneefleckn', which is compared to a snow-field remaining on top of the mountain, sounds faster and more energetic. Catching melodies are brought in relation to warm sounds and firy rhythm sections. The 'Dolen' have a very personal access to the term 'homeland'. Contents refer to mountains, nature, feelings and people.
