Popis - WARRIORS:
Stanton Warriors' 'The Warriors' is one of electronic music's most highly anticipated and long awaited debut artist albums. Their recent single 'Turn Me Up Some' was a Hottest Record In The World for Radio 1's Zane Lowe, and the latest in a long line of singles from 'Da Antidote', 'Pop Ya Cork feat Twister', 'Shake It Up' feat The Beatnuts, 'Hold 'Em High' feat Sway, and beyond, all of which have ensured them a position at the forefront of global dance culture for over a decade.
While 'The Warriors' is their first 'proper' artist album, their acclaimed compilation series, 'The Stanton Session', which first appeared on XL Recordings, later on V2 for Volume 2, and then on their own imprint, Punks (in association with Fabric), for the third instalment, has consistently redrawn the beats and bass map with each release. Fittingly, it's Stanton Warriors open-minded musical approach that has won them fans from across the genre spectrum.
Fittingly, 'The Warriors' is their crowning achievement, featuring collaborations with a hotbed of new and existing talent, including Ruby Goe, Hollywood Holt, Sporty-O, Jahcoozi, Eboi, and Young Fathers. The album is a bold evolution from their roots, fusing house, dubstep, and bass-driven beats, all delivered in their signature stadium rocking style.
Currently on a sold out world tour and fresh from supporting Deadmau5 in front of 18,000 people at Earls Court, Mark Yardley and Dominic B have one of the most relentless tour schedules of any genre. Each of the album tracks was written and produced on the road, with any finishing touches added in their London studio.
'Get Up' features two sides of upcoming transatlantic talent, Ruby Goe from the UK versus hotly tipped US rapper, Hollywood Holt. Sporty O adds his distinctive delivery to the electro/dubstep beats of 'Bushido'. Ruby Goe then makes a second appearance on the synth-soaked 'Shoot Me Down', while 'Dakota' provides a brief downtempo interlude with its spiralling guitar riff.
The album's tempo switches up again via forthcoming single, 'New York', a heads down electro workout with an arena-sized breakdown, an equally big moment in the shape of 'Superstar' (featuring Eboi), and the old school electro vibe of 'Bodywork'. Young Fathers drop their vocal on 'Leader', before the seismic bass of 'Turn Me Up Some', 'OuepaOupa' (with appearances from Hollywood Holt and Jahcoozi), and 'Precinct' (with Eboi) whip the album into a closing frenzy. The parting blast comes with 'Out Of My Head', a suitably hypnotic workout with Ruby Goe.
