Originally released in 1963 by Glendora, California's own The Surfaris, 'Wipe Out' is perhaps the most memorable surf rock tune of all-time. Though it originally was the B-side to the 'Surfer Joe' 45, 'Wipe Out' reached #2 on the national charts and quickly became a worldwide hit and it's no surprise that the subsequent LP bore the same title. Featuring both sides of that legendary 45, along with 10 other shredding pieces of classic West Coast surf-rock (including their take on 'Misirlou'), 'Wipe Out' is one of the most important albums of a quintessentially American genre.
