Founded in 2012, Otus takes elements of post-metal/sludge bands such as Isis and Cult Of Luna, adds some Black Sabbathian doom and also revels traces of the experimental sides of Tool, Om and Sunn O))). The band enriches its sound with ethnic instruments and self built synthesizers, by chanting mantras and by taking particular care of its visual and symbolic identity as showcased by the poster art, visual projections, etc.
