The material of 'Lifemask' was written and recorded at the height of the 'flower power' expression/boom. The songs are spontaneous interpretations of how we interact with our planet. The LP was never aimed at the mass market and is mainly a poem for friends and kindred spirits. Recorded at Abbey Road and originally released in 1973, the LP features Jimmy Page on 'The Lord's Prayer'. This reissue on 180-gram vinyl is packaged in a deluxe, centre split, reversible, gatefold sleeve with original images and includes additional printed heavy inner sleeve featuring extra notes.
