Recorded during three different sessions in 1962 and 1963, the blues legend is backed here by a variety of groups, the most thrilling of which is the Maxwell Davis Orchestra, who cut countless sessions for L.A. based Aladdin and Modern Records (two of the premier West Coast R&B labels of the '50s and '60s).
