Rhythm guitarist Jake Sollo was one of the most prolific and innovative musicians from Nigeria in the '70s and '80s. He played with several Nigerian bands including The Hykkers, The Funkees and Osibisa. His 1979 solo album, here reissued on vinyl, was produced for Pye/Disques Esperance in London. Touches of pop, plenty of African grooves and moments of psychedelica are all bound together with Jake's distinctive guitar playing and sleek production.
