Brought together by their common love for soundtracks and
Italian libraries of the late '60s/early '70s, the four members
of La Batteria are well-known musicians and veterans from
Rome's underground scene. They have backgrounds in various
genres, ranging from progressive post-rock, indie-pop,
experimental jazz, hip-hop and world music (the famous
Orchestra di Piazza Vittorio). The band performs original
compositions influenced by the heyday of Italian cinema and its
accompanying music, but also Afro-beat and Kraut rock.
