Popis - HUMANOID EXPANSION PACK:
Emerging Sydney five-piece Dead Inside the Chrysalis are set to take on the world with their futurist brand of dark electro-punk rock and scare a few grandmas along the way with their freakish mutant image. With an album produced by red-hot producer Lamar Lowder (Power-man 5000, Jerk), an onslaught of insanely hyper-active live shows, a striking visual aesthetic resembling b-grade mutant rejects from an unmade X-Men flick, and a dedicated cult following anticipating the band's every move, its no wonder why these shock rockin' freaks are feeling the buzz of excitement you get when you're on the verge of something big. The core members of the group, Manek Deboto (vocals, programming), Clark Bent (guitar, computers), the Organ Donor (bass) ROM Defect (guitars) and R Rated (drums) have an explosive dynamic and larger than life scope revealed in their current jam of sound, vision and attitude enough to supply the nexus for an alternate reality. “This reality,” Manek, DITC's demented frontman says, “is simply the fused wreckage from pop culture mutated into twisted, bizarre forms. 'Its something that people are relating to. There's a freak surge rising up from the underground and DITC is a super-magnet for all that it brings. We're gonna externalise the freak streak in people and lead the way for a Mutant Generation.' Manek said. The Humanoid Expansion Pack was produced by Lamar Lowder hot on the heals of working with renowned producer Sean Bevan (NIN, Marilyn Manson), the EP also contains remixs from Craig Sue (Genetic, Killers on the Loose) and J Karsten from Finland shock pop band Vanity Beach. The album is a chemically induced spill of dark-core punk riffs, steroid induced death disco drumming, Numanesque fuzz-synth drones, and super deranged vocals. These anthems for Armageddon are armed with enough ammunition to give you a total spaz-attack. The sound has been described as a hybrid of Rob Zombie, Orgy and the Sex Pistols but uniquely their own. Writing a DITC track is as Manek explains it, 'a focus on pop sensibilities. The tracks that inspire me to write are the ones with a strong hook and theme in them. Dumb-downed riffs that make you wanna revolt and a strong melody that charges your soul. I try to reflect that to get what we are trying to say across but put a definitive DITC spin on it.' Its that process that has spawned tracks such as the anarchic power anthem, Future Shock, nu-wave virtual love song Neon and the band's first single The Invisible. The perfect track to grasp more followers in the alien hand of DITC with its mind-warping abilities. These tracks were designed to capture the short attention spans of decaying citizens.s. In the current wave of retro rock'n'roll and disposible pop how do DITC fit into the scheme of things? 'We're a punk band that's infiltrating the mainstream.' Manek said. 'Our effects will be much like a toxic spill at a fun-park. Our radioactivity is going to effect and mutate alot of people. We're the opposite of an exorcism- we possess Linda Blairs. Oh yeah and we're building a construct that will bring about the formation of Earth 2.0 but that is a tale for another time and place.' Video clips for the singles The Invisible, Future Shock, All in Vogue and Poison have been made. The clips provide an introduction into the band's freakish world. Both clips will be hitting cathode tubes as DITC tour nationally in early 2005. DITC invite you to join their freak revolution. Super-charge yourself. Its time to hyper-activate. RELEASE YOUR FREAK!
