'Down The Doors' is the third studio album from San Francisco Bay Area electronic music group Chance's End. In this release, songwriter Emily Zisman joins the group with her soulful blues-infused voice, adding to the violin-electronica sound of the group's first two albums. This latest album brings a heavy focus on lyrical songwriting and lush orchestral string backings on a bed of trip-hop and downtempo breakbeats. Classical violinist Ryan Avery started Chance's End in 2000 to help expand the violin's presence in electronic music, following in the footsteps of groups like Hybrid Sound System, Beats Antique, and Groove Armada.
