Popis - END OF LAUGHTER / INGENS SLAV:
SLAM founded in 1982, G?vle, Sweden (a couple hours drive north of Stockholm) and is considered to be Sweden's first skate-punk band, and one of the first in Europe alongside with Germany's SPERMBIRDS and DISASTER AREA. They featured on various legendary compilations such as American "Thrasher Skate Rock Volume 3 - Wild Riders Of Boards" (which named by their song), French "CHAOS IN EUROPE" in 1985, and on Swedish "Really Fast Vol. 3" in 1986. In 1986 they toured the United States playing with bands like CIRCLE JERKS, GANG GREEN, SAINT VITUS, SNFU - for an 80s Swedish punk band that was a quite big thing. The band broke up in 1987. For the 5 years of existence they released two LP's "End Of Laughter" 1986 and "Ingens Slav" 1984, and now for the first time ever their both albums available on CD. Musically SLAM is dark, mostly mid-tempo (but with some fast songs as well) skate rock with metallic guitar solos, and lyrics in English and Swedish. Overall pretty original sound, but closest associations are THE FACTION, CODE OF HONOR, KRAUT and T.S.O.L. 28 songs, booklet contains many gig flyers, photos etc. A must for all lovers of Skate Rock and 80s hardcore punk in general!
