Popis - AERIE FAERIE NONSENSE (UK):
At the time of recording (August to September 1977) The Enid featured a slightly different line-up to that of their first album. Gone was Glenn Tollet and Neil Kavanagh, replaced by Charlie Elston (who in turn was replaced by William Gilmour) and Jerry Tranter - also to be quickly replaced with Terry 'Thunderbags' Pack. Following in the great prog-rock tradition of concept albums (although Robert John Godfrey has been known to distance himself from the term and many others prefer 'classical rock') 'Aerie Faerie Nonsense' tracks young Knight Roland questing well across the fictitious Enid landscape.
"But the main track is of course the 17-minute "Fand" that takes up the whole of the second side. This fantastic suite is maybe one of the most perfect compositions written by anyone. The themes and melodies are extremely strong, beautiful and romantic. And the build-up of the whole track is pure genius." - review from vintageprog.com
Representing the pinnacle of The Enid's studio albums - with only the live shows coming close to capturing the bands' soul - Inner Sanctum have invested heavily into re-mastering these recordings. Everything has been listened to by our own in-house Enid fanatic to ensure that they live up the to high standards demanded by the band and their fans.
